Don't be discouraged
for this path will become more familiar.
I'll be your trusty steed
and you can venture onward.

I know the weight has
become a burden,
soon you'll find yourself
becoming stronger.

Don't feel dejected
for this path will become brighter.
Leave the shadows behind you
and you can venture onward.

I know the pain has
become troublesome,
soon you'll find yourself
smiling with me.

Don't lose sight
for there is a light
at the end of this tunnel.

Never fear,
for I am here.
I know it has been a while since I've posted something. Leave me alone. But this time there is some original content and not a repost of something from many moons ago.

This is a very strange inspirational poem. From the tense and stanza arrangement, everything seems quirky.
I have to admit I'm not taking much away from having read it, and feel that the last two stanzas indulge in cliche entirely too much.

However, I'm intrigued by the "Nothing shall forestall my return" line Wolf-pup was referring to; I can't find it in the poem and it seems a much stronger line.
