Happy

Today the sun shined brighter than ever,
the moon rose over the sunset,
and I thought to myself…
if this isn't paradise then what is?

Today was great because it was another day,
I wasn't promised today but I was given today.

The chill of the night wind
sent a calming shiver down my back
and I thought to myself…
this is what it means to be alive.

Today was great because it was a gift,
and I wish more would be willing to receive.
This scene is simply too precious
to watch it go without any care.

The sunset of the morning
warmed a smile on my face,
something I can spread around.
In that moment,
I knew what it feels to be alive.

I stood in this creation.
In awe because I could be a part.
And wondered,
what happens tomorrow?
